Cookie policy
This site uses no cookies. None of its own, none from anybody else, none for analytics and none for advertising. We count visits without one.
Which is why there is no banner
Article 22.2 of Ley 34/2002 requires consent before storing information on a visitor’s device, unless that information is strictly necessary to provide a service the person expressly asked for. Since we store nothing that needs consent, there is nothing to consent to, and a banner asking about cookies that do not exist would be noise.
And nothing else is stored either
No cookies, no local storage, nothing under another name. Each language has its own address, so which one you are reading is in the address bar and there is no preference left to remember on your device.
Not one third party
Fonts, icons and scripts are served from here rather than from somebody else’s network, because every third-party request is a visitor’s IP address handed to somebody who never asked their permission. We sell compliance; starting at home seemed the least we could do.
The one thing that does leave
We count visits, and here is exactly how. Each page reports once that it was opened, and what it sends is the address of the page, the language, and the domain you arrived from. Nothing else: no IP address kept, nothing you searched for, and nothing that follows you from one visit to the next.
That report goes to Microsoft Azure, which is where this whole product is hosted and who already processes the data we hold on our customers’ behalf. There is no third-party analytics tool, no pixel and no advertising tag.
And there are still no cookies. Counting a visit needs none: the identifier that travels with the report is born when the page opens and dies when it closes, so if you come back tomorrow you are a new visit and we do not know it. That costs us a number almost everybody wants, and we are content to pay it.
